The Flying Biscuit. A review.

You wouldn’t necessarily know Flying Biscuit is a chain upon first look inside. Its kitchy décor gives more of a feeling of a small town pieced together joint you hang out because it’s close to home. If you happen to live across from Whole Foods in Sandy Springs.

Always a warm welcome and attentive service at this location. The biscuits live up to the namesake. They are light, large and addictive. If only they weren’t so large that is. Can anyone eat more than one?

I generally stick to the delicious housemade chicken sausage patties with the house cranberry apple jam to load up my biscuit. The grits are dreamy creamy and consistent. No self respecting southern restaurant would serve up anything less.

Eggs in all their glorious forms have been right on as well. Fresh tasty coffee (It’s not starbucks strong but it’s a solid drip). Oatmeal pancakes with peach compote are another favorite. Gosh I love breakfast!

P.S. There are vegan options if you roll that way.

I am a regular for a reason and not because I live closeby.
